Wyong, NSW — Wyong Public School is proud to announce its participation in the upcoming ANZAC Day parade, scheduled for Thursday, 25 April 2024. As a tradition, our school takes this opportunity to honour the brave men and women who have served our nation, with a group of dedicated students and teachers representing our school community in the annual event.
Event Details:
- Date: Thursday, 25 April 2024
- Time: Meet at 10:00 AM
- Location: Cenotaph Park, Wyong
The ceremony will commence at the Cenotaph Park where students, donning their full school uniforms, will gather at 10:00 AM. It is an occasion to not only remember the sacrifices made but also to reflect on the values of courage, respect, and mateship that define our community.
Following the commemorative service, the students and teachers will participate in a march that will proceed down the street towards Club Wyong, opposite the Art House. Parents are kindly requested to remain at the park for the duration of the service and later collect their children from Club Wyong immediately following the event.
In recognition of their participation, the students will be treated to a drink and light snack provided by the RSL, ensuring they have a moment to refresh and socialise after the march.
Important Reminders for Parents:
- Ensure your child has had a proper meal and used the bathroom prior to the meeting time.
- Maintain supervision and ensure your child is picked up promptly after the event.
Wyong Public School is excited to see its students take part in this significant day.
