High School Transition

*** Notice - 31/10/2022 ***

Dear Parents/Carers,

RE: Wyong High School Transition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students

Tomorrow is the first of three transition days at Wyong High School for our Aboriginal students. Some families may have received an invitation for their child to attend this event by mistake. I genuinely apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused anyone.

To clarify the transition dates for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to attend Wyong High school are as follows:
* Tuesday 1st November 2022
* Tuesday 8th November 2022
* Tuesday 15th November 2022

If you have returned a permission form to attend Wyong High School transition for these dates and you are not of Aboriginal Descent, you are not required to attend Wyong High School but attend Wyong Public School as it will be a normal school day.

Wyong High School have organised additional transition and orientation events for all students to attend later this term.

Again I apologise for any confusion this may have caused.

Kind regards,
Vicki Arnot

Our Year 6 students are coming close to the end of their primary school education and will be heading off to high school in 2023. Students from Wyong Public transition to a variety of different high schools both on the Central Coast and afar. To ensure that high school transition is a smooth process for our students, high schools are offering innovative transition programs for Year 6 students. Students have the opportunity to participate in engaging activities that will enable them to become familiar with the high school setting and the learning prospects offered to them in 2023 and beyond.

Please refer to our school calendar for High School Transition dates.
