Odd Weeks - Borrowing and Browsing
Students MUST use a library bag or similar when borrowing books from the iCentre.
When can I borrow?
- odd weeks of the school term (weeks 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11)
- recess any day, any week
How long can I borrow my book for?
- 2 weeks
- If you need a little longer you can bring your book back and renew your loan for another week
When should I return my books?
- during iCentre time on any given week
- recess
- on your way out to the playground
- a time that suits classroom teacher
- before school (after 8:30am)
- after school (3pm - 3:15pm)
What should I do if I get an overdue notice
- Don't panic :)
- Look for the book(s) in your bedroom, home and classroom.
- If you are certain that the book has been returned: bring your notice into school and show Mrs Adams or Mrs Mills. Together you can check the library collection to see if it has been put back on the shelf and not gone through the returns process via the circulation desk.
- If the book has been accidently lost or damaged, bring the notice to the front office and pay for the book so that another book can be purchased.
Even Weeks
During the even weeks (Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10) lessons are based on the stage units that are being taught in class. These lessons are predominately paperless and use technology as a tool for learning. Students have access to a full set of Chromebooks (laptops), iPads, robotics equipment whilst working in the iCentre. Some S3 students have the opportunity to bring their own device (BYOD).
